REDBLADE

OUR MOTTO:  On the cutting edge of …something.  What will we find?  This space is dedicated to honest, rational, insightful thought and discourse. All, or most, views welcome as long as discussions are civil and thought out.  Trolling, flaming, or hateful speech is not welcome.  You want to be an asshat there are plenty of spaces of opportunity to do that…but never here!  I truly hope that is very clear to all who come here and contribute to these open discussions.  Satire will never be the same.     NOTE: for the most part no topic is off limits unless it violates the forementioned limits.  We can disagree with someone here or in the real world, but here I will not tolerate hate, open rudeness, or openly trying to bate someone into a fight. Always remember: you can have your own opinions, but you cannot have your own “FACTS.”  Again, I hope my points are crystal clear.   Thank you all for being here and for speaking up!!!  So, let us get started.

First question: anyone out there still think democracy is a great idea?  (god I hope there is!)

Second question: does anyone out there really think learning, and understanding our real history is a bad thing, or do we just want to continue to have a “Disneyland” view of American history?  Is ignorance really equality and knowledge inequality?

OK…here we go!

As I see it, knowledge is power. The power to understand, grow, and change.  No one, in my opinion, should be afraid to learn and understand almost any subject, even the hard ones. Oh, and I truly believe that people who really want to understand our real history and move forward with other Americans to “make it right” are the truly open nonracist group but those who want to hide our history, not talk about unpleasant topics and just want to continue the status quo…ARE THE REAL RACISTS, period!  oh, and wake up White folks you do not have to feel guilty about our real history. But maybe you should feel guilt over not wanting to learn and understand our real history.  We all should be happy to learn REAL History and not some whitewashed (yes, I said whitewash) Disney version of History.  So, who’s afraid to learn, and who has the courage to stand up say “I want to learn about real, accurate, inclusive American History”. If this is you then I salute you and honor your choice. If that is NOT you then I will hope (sometimes all we have is hope) that somewhere, somehow you come to a different way of thinking, and change your fear to courage and then act, to stand for truth real truth.  Thank you.

Oh, and secondly DEMOCRACY rules.
